Package #21 – Chile, Skorpios Patagonian Cruise

Day 1. Santiago de Chile – Transfer to the hotel
At your arrival in Santiago you will be transferred to your selected hotel. Santiago, Chile’s capital is a modern and cosmopolitan city. Chile is a country with unique geographical and climatic condition that can be appreciated all year round. Santiago is a city of approximately 6 millions inhabitants. It is the country’s financial and business center, with a stable government and good economic growth. Santiago offers excellent shopping centers, restaurants, historical buildings, wineries, and fine museums. In the afternoon you will be pick up from your hotel for a half day City Tour of Santiago de Chile.

Day 2. Santiago de Chile – Punta Arenas
Breakfast and transfer to Santiago’s airport for your flight to the southernmost city of the world, Punta Arenas. Transfer by bus to Puerto Natales, arriving around 8:00 pm. Later you’ll be boarding the Skorpios III Cruise with a Welcome drink and dinner on board. (B.D.).

Day 3. Monday Puerto Natales – Skorpio III
Breakfast Departure by bus to Torres del Paine National Park. Arrival at the Milodon Cave. One hour visit. Tour continues towards the Torres del Paine National Park. Visit to Laguna Amarga and Torres del Paine.
Arrival at the Río Paine waterfall. Head towards Nordenskjold viewpoint, sightseeing of Cuernos del Paine. After this, we will go to Lago Pehoé viewpoint. Return to Puerto Natales, visiting Lake Sarmiento, approximately at 4:00pm. This excursion includes picnic type lunch. Arrival to Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales at 6:00 pm. Dinner on board. Day 4. Tuesday Skorpios III – Cruise Kawerskar Route (departure on Tuesdays)
Passengers check in from 4:00 pm on, Between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm weight anchor from Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales, sailing through the Patagonian channels, Kirke Narrowness, Morta Vicuña, Union Collonwood, and Sarmiento. (B,D,L)

Day 5. Wednesday Skorpios III – Cruising
8:00 am. Arrival at the AmaliaGlacier, the ship gets to the Glacier Panoramic view from the ship. 9:15am Sailing towards El Brujo Glaciar.11:00am Arrival to El Brujo Glaciar, if the weather conditions allows to, disembarkation on a rock to observe the Glacier.12:30pm set sail to the Calvo Fjord. 2:30pm. Reach port at the Calvo Fjord, were excursion will be done in a special motor boat, named Capitan Constantino, visiting Fernando, Capitan Constantino and Alipio Glaciers, among others.6.30 pm. set sail to the Montañas Fjord.(B,L,D)

Day 6. Thursday Skorpios III – Cruising

Visit to the Montañas Fjord, were five glaciers that slide down from the Sarmiento Mountains to the sea will be seen. 10.00 am. visit to the Bernal Glacier,
Were a soft hiking can be done to the base of the Glacier and visit to the Herman Glacier to sail in its bay and admire the beauty of the area and multicolored icebergs (this will depend on the tide). After this, we will visit the Alsina and Paredes Glacier. 5.00 pm. set sail from the Montañas Fjord, Kirke Narrowness crossing. 9.00 pm. Farewell Party, Captain’s Dinner and dance. 10.30 pm. reach port at the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales.(B,L,D)

Day 7. Friday Skorpios III – Puerto Natales
Between 8.00 am. and 9.30 am. Passenger’s disembarkation. Transfer to the
Punta Arenas airport and continue your flight to Santiago de Chile.
At your arrival in Santiago you will be transferred to your selected hotel.(B)

Day 8. Saturday Santiago – Viña del Mar – Valparaiso – Santiago

Breakfast. You will have a full day excursion to Valparaiso and Viña del Mar which is a “must” to every tourist visiting Chile. The tour starts with the visit to Viña del Mar, the most famous summer resort city in Chile. You have the opportunity to observe Chiles’s unique geography. Chile’s main sea resort passing in front of the Quinta Vergara (Vergara Park) – lodging the Vergara Villa (now Museum of Fine Arts), as well as the open air theater site of the annual February International Song Festival. After crossing the Marga Marga Canal, stop at the Fonk Museum, where an original Moai brought from the Easter Island can be seen. Return to Viña del Mar, skirting along the coast, we spot the Gambling Casino, Wulff Castle and the Flower Clock, proceeding towards Chile’s main port, Valparaiso.

A visit to Valparaiso, renowned for its fishing industry and recently declared by UNESCO as a Patrimony of Humanity, is a sheer surprise. Its typical architecture, its winding narrow streets and the ranges of houses clinging on the surrounding hills in an urban landscape intermingled with all kind of vessels at the bay. Funiculars, (some over 100 years old) are still used as a popular means of transportation.

Valparaíso, immortalized Pablo Neruda´s words, is one of South America’s most charismatic and historic ports, with its charming ascensores (funicular railways) and colorful hillside constructions. Late afternoon return to Santiago to your hotel or you may take your flight back home if you have a late schedule departure

Day 9. Sunday –Santiago –Miami

Breakfast. Today you may consider taken an optional half day tour to a Vineyard, depending on your departure schedule time.Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
