Package #18 – Tropical Nights in Brazil
Day 1. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro
At your arrival welcome by our English speaking host. You just arrived into one of the most spectacular cities of world. We will provide a private guided transfer to your hotel located in the Copacabana or Ipanema area, famous for its beaches.
Rio de Janeiro, known as Cidade Maravilhosa or “The Marvelous City” was the capital of Brazil for nearly two centuries, from 1763 to 1815 during the Portuguese colonial era; 1815 to 1821 as the capital of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarves, and from 1822 to 1960 as an independent nation. Copacabana’s Atlantica Ave offers innumerous cafés and restaurants. The astonishing beauty of the Guanabara Bay bewitches visitors to Rio. You will see Rio’s famous landmark statue, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Corcavado), perched atop Tijuca National Forest. It has a botanical garden of almost 350 acres, containing over 5,000 species of plants, fine museums, such as the Indian Museum and the National Historical Museum. There is an intensive night life in Rio with something for everyone.
Brazil is host country of the next Football Soccer World Cup year 2014. Brazilian folks are strongly impassioned for their national team of Soccer.
Day 2. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast. Half Day Tour to Corcovado (“the hunchback”) Mountain (2,314 feet/704m) or to The Sugar Loaf, it provides a spectacular view of the city to Rio’s visitors. A gondola/cable car system takes tourist up and back Corcovado. At the top of the mountain, you will have the opportunity to see the Christ Statue, 90 feet tall.The Christ the Redeemer, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. The statue stands above the city with its arms outstretched in blessing. From this point, you will enjoy a panoramic view of Rio, the beaches, mountains and the Sugar Loaf, all of them resulting in one of the most spectacular urban and natural sceneries in the whole world. This trip will also take you along the Rio de Janeiro beaches, famous for their beauty. We stop to have lunch at a well known Churrasqueria (Barbecue Restaurants). You will have a spectacular view of Guanabara Bay and the majestic city of Rio de Janeiro. To have a full panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro we suggest to combine the half day tour Corcovado and the half day tour to Sugar Loaf. Day 3. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro – Buzios
Breakfast. Today you will be transferred to peninsula of Búzios, whose more than 20 magnificent beaches and crystal-clear water contrast with the exuberantly sculptured landscape and exotic vegetation, which a prodigal “Mother Nature” has privileged with a wonderful year-round summer. We will take the famous Pointe Niteroi and drive on an scenery road about 2 hours, approximately 180 km to the northeast of Rio de Janeiro, One of the most known resort of Brazil, the Armação do Búzios spreads itself in a delicious and fascinating way over the Atlantic Ocean. The village enjoys yearly average temperatures of 25°C, with approximately 8 km long and 2 km wide. The peninsula is a beach resort with an active night life and restaurants. The west coas while the east coast ones, facing the open t beaches offer calm, clear waters sea, are a bit more wild and draw surfers and water sports enthusiasts. You will arrive in Buzios in the early afternoon and transfer to your hotel/pousada.
Day 4 – 5. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro – Buzios
Days at your leisure with all inclusive plan (daily breakfast, lunch and dinner). Enjoy the sunny and gorgeous beaches. This area keeps its nature virgin, regardless to the increasing human presence and visitors that cannot keep from falling in love with Buzios, whenever they are looking for peaceful and romantic calmness, or those who prefer dynamic vacations with a wide variety of activities. In the peninsula there are 23 beaches with different characteristics: with or without waves, shallow or deep waters, crowded or solitary.
Buzios offers bars, restaurants, with live music and sophisticated nightclubs make Buzios nights a great place for fun, as well as little shops and stores displaying the nicest national and international brand names. This is all part of Buzios casual and special scenery.
During the 50’s Buzios started to change its face; its natural beauty attracted Rio’s wealthy upper class, who looked for a quiet and isolated site to build their summer houses and the interest on Buzios kept on growing among the people in the Brazilian upper class.
Day 6. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast .Enjoy the morning. After lunch you will be transferred to your hotel in Rio de Janeiro for a late afternoon arrival. Evening at your leisure to enjoy the finest Restaurants of Ipanema like Mario’s, or simple have a drink at Café do Toquino, where the famous music Garota de Ipanema (The Girl from Ipanema) was inspired. It was written in 1962, with music by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Portuguese lyrics by Vinicius de Moraes with English lyrics written later by Norman Gimbel, a Bossa Nova rhythmic, Grammy winner in 1965.
Day 7. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro
Breakfast.Today is at your Leisure. As your last day in Rio de Janeiro WE SUGGEST the ECOLOGICAL TOUR TIJUCA FOREST IN JEEP
“The world’s biggest urban forest” A tour in convertible 4X4 jeeps – access to the Tijuca Forest through Horto Florestal, showing the contrast between the stone jungle and the Tijuca Forest, at the city’s heart.15-minute stop at the Monkeys Cascade where it is possible to see some Macumba works. Stop at the Chinese View. In that place we will explain the history of Tijuca’s reforesting and the importance of the Atlantic Jungle. We will also visit the Emperor’s Table; stop at the Taunay Cascade for a quick meal (optional) and at the Mayrink Chapel. One-hour walk by an easy-access trail, where the botanical aspects are shown, with explanations on the importance of maintaining the ecosystem, allowing direct contact with Nature; walk ends with a natural water stream bath. Return by the Solitude Pond, towards São Conrado by the Canoas Road, allowing watching wind gliding activities towards the Pepino Beach. During the tour we may watch several types of tropical fruit trees and small animals (monkeys, sloths and toucans) as well as many other birds and butterflies.
At night, we suggest the energetic show of Plataforma I, with or without dinner. After a brief ride along the beaches we arrive at a Churrasqueria Rodizio (Typical Barbecue Restaurant) where meats and salads of every kind are served in great quantities. After dinner we go to a typical show house (Plataforma I), a real sample of the Carnival do Rio De Janeiro, this is a show to remember Here is the opportunity to enjoy Brazil’s famous music and dances. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of dances and hear the different music styles from around the country to watch the best Brazilian folklore show existing in Brazil. It includes mulattos, singers, capoeira, lambada, forró, xaxado dancing and some other typical dances, besides Candomblé ritual and the famous Samba Schools drums. Inquire for Private Tour.

Day 8. Brazil – Rio de Janeiro – USA
Breakfast and check out from your hotel before noon. We will provide the departure transfer at a convenient time.
