Day 1. Home / Buenos Aires – Argentina

At your arrival at Buenos Aires – Ezeiza Ministro Pistarini International Airport, you will be greeted by our local host who will provide transfer to your selected hotel in Buenos Aires. This city is known as the “Paris of South America” for its spacious boulevards, European architecture and avenues with impressive monuments. The Plaza de Mayo (May Square) is perhaps the most historically representative place in Argentina, where you can see the Presidential Palace, the Cabildo (which was the old Spanish city hall) and the cathedral with José de San Martin Mausoleum (San Martin was the “Liberator of Argentina”). The National Congress Building is another historical site with its imposing facade of Greek-Roman features is considered one of the most sumptuous parliamentary buildings of the Americas. Don’t miss Puerto Madero and Recoleta, with their fine restaurants and cafés. Enjoy the rest of day at your leisure to relax from the trip and to acquaint yourself with vibrant Buenos Aires. Day 2. Buenos Aires

Breakfast. In the morning, you will be picked-up at your hotel to participate of a half day city tour (3 1/2hrs.) that includes the most interesting and historical locations of the city. This tour will take you through the world’s famous 9 de Julio Avenue. You will have the opportunity of seeing the presidential house (The Pink House), the historical Plaza de Mayo, El Cabildo, the national congress, the district of San Telmo, and ending at the Italian/Portuguese district – La Boca, where the famous Caminito Street inspired the homonym tango song. At the end of this tour (if Sunday) you can visit to the famous Feria de San Telmo, (San Telmo Antique Fair). The San Telmo Fair is a traditional gathering place of the local folks who are looking for antiques, restaurants, and cafés; the surrounding architecture, Tango street dancing, and a Bohemian atmosphere. Return to your hotel.
Dinner is an essential part of the Argentinean evening and your tour includes the sensual magnetism tango dinner show at Esquina Carlos Gardel”. This theme restaurant is located at the exact same location where the original restaurant “El ChantaCuatro” place where Carlos Gardel (1920’s worldwide phenomenon considered the most distinguished singer, songwriter, actor, and the prominent figure in the history of tango) used to meet his friends. Transfers from and to your hotel included.

Day 3. Buenos Aires / Ushuaia (Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego”Land of Fire”)

Breakfast.
Transfer to Domestic Airport (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery Airport) to *fly from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia. Transfer to your selected hotel. Ushuaia – the region’s largest city, known to all as “southernmost city in the world” has become the main gateway to wondrous Antarctica. Now you can say “I have arrived at the end of the world” while enjoying the majestic Andean condor soaring overhead at great heights as they shield and shelter Tierra del Fuego. This vivacious triangular archipelago surrounded by the stormy South Atlantic and the Strait of Magellan offers plenty of natural beauty: scenic glaciers, lush forests, astounding mountains, clear waterways and a dramatic sea coast.In order to benefit from long daylight and warmer climate, its best to visit from September to April.

Day 4. Ushuaia (Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego “Land of Fire”).

After breakfast you will be picked-up at your hotel to enjoy the half day tour to Ushuaia at the foot of Martial Mountain Range, showing different colors and views to the visitors. Ushuaia with its near 40.000 inhabitants is placed besides the bay from which it receives the name and it has a special view towards Navarino and Hoste Islands. The city tour includes the old area of the town, the port and the hilly streets climbing the mountain from where it is possible to take breathtaking picture perfect photos. This excursion finishes at the “Museum of the End of the World” placed in one of the oldest buildings of the city. There, we will learn about the Island history, and its legends about pirates, adventurers and native On a Indian tribe (least civilized race on earth and, known for existing semi-naked in the cold temperatures and for being cannibals).
From September to April, take advantage of long daylight, and the short distances that offer the perfect combination to indulgein several tours within the same day.
We strongly recommend you don’t miss the opportunity to visit Tierra del Fuego National Park (NOT INCLUDED IN TOTAL PRICE). The park is a fantastic natural space where numerous flora and fauna species live together in harmony. Thirty percent of the park is occupied by the Andean-Patagonia or Sub Antarctic Forest; a true ecological example of 63.000 Km2. This visit may include the trip on the Tren del Fin del Mundo (End of the World Train), former prisoners’ transportation. During the trip, the small historical train will stop at several locations for you to enjoy the scenery and sample local foods. You will have the opportunity to visit interesting places within the park, like Lake Roca and its nearby delightful tea houses. Furthermore, you’ll find South America’s southernmost one-man post office where you can mail out postcards or have your passport stamped with an official end of the world stamp.
Also the Pipo River Cascade, and Ensenada Bay, where it is possible to embark in a small boat towards Isla Redonda (Round Shaped Island), a flora protected zone. At the end of the route you can enjoy a spectacular view of Beagle Channel.
Another option is sailing the Beagle Channel waters, passing the Ushuaia Bay, the north cost of the channel, the Archipelago and the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse,where it is possible to visit different sea bird nests,seals areas and several types of coastal and sea birds petrels, albatrosses, cormorants, oyster catchers, etc. After approaching the Lighthouse, sail back to Ushuaia.

Day 5.Ushuaia (Argentina’s Tierra del Fuego “Land of Fire”) / Calafate.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for a *short flight in bound to Calafate a small town nesting at the base of a cliff on the shore of the vast Lago Argentino (Argentine Lake). Day at your leisure.
A few meters from the center of the town, a gravel road leads to Nimes Lagoon (Laguna Nimes), near the lake shore, a small bird reserve which houses an important population of different birds. Days are long from September to April. In the early afternoon you can enjoy an optional evening tour with dinner and show at El Galpon, (NOT INCLUDED IN TOTAL PRICE), a ranch located on a mid-size hill on the Argentine Lake. At the ranch El Galpon you will have the opportunity to enjoy a guided walking tour or a horse ride; from the banks sometimes you can observe icebergs fallen off from the Glacier Perito Moreno. Later a demonstration of herding dogs leading the Patagonian Shepherds to safe areas in order to spend the night. The optional tour includes a delicious dinner with show of tango and folklore dancers. On your return to your hotel you can enjoy a spectacular view of Calafate night sky, where occasionally it is possible to observe the spectacular colors of the Aurora Australis Southern Lights – ‘the dawn of the South’.

Day 6.Calafate.

Breakfast.
Full day tour to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of nature’s most stunning breathtaking works of arts. Pick up at the hotel to board the bus in route to captivating Perito Moreno Glacier, 47 miles from Calafate.
Los Glaciares National Park covers a surface of approximately 5,500 square miles fully protected by the National Park Administration of the Argentinian Authorities. To give you a sense of the scale, the Perito Moreno Glacier is three times the size of Manhattan. The tour includes navigation on the north side of the Glacier on board of an Ecological Catamaran. The vessel will approach safely to the 200 hundred feet (over 16 stories tall) ice wall glaciers. You will be hypnotized by the living frozen rivers’ constant cracking and movement as well as the crashing of ice that occurs at the front of the glacieras enormous chunks fall off into the lake.The splash into the water is just as lurid and the sound seems to echo for miles while bouncing off the nearby mountains. As you eagerly wait for the next giant piece of ice to break off, the silence of everything else accentuates the moment you become part of this romantic, exciting, and spiritual transformation. In a state of awe, you will experience firsthand the power of nature and gain a new sense of respect for Planet Earth.

The rest of the group will return to the port for a bus transfer to the south side of the glacier. Time for lunch (meal not included) then we will start soft to moderate walk on safe wooden and metal stairs 3 level trails, to observe the glaciers and hear the thunder sound, amplified by the echo of the fallen giant ice walls over the Argentine Lake. UNESCO declared the Perito Moreno Glacier a Mankind’s Heritage natural wonder. Late afternoon return to your selected hotel.

Day 7. Calafate / Buenos Aires/Home

Breakfast. Check out from hotel and transfer to Calafate’s Airport for your *flight to Buenos Aires -connecting to your final destination. In cases needing transfers from Domestic Airport to International Airport, transportation will be provided.
